NAME:Fiona Logan. Her close friends call her ‘Fi’ for short.
AGE: 25
SPECIES:Witch
BACKGROUND & HISTORY: Fiona was born to an American mother and a Scottish father, both of whom hail from families of strong witches. She spent the first six years of her life in the Scottish countryside, surrounded by her parents’ coven. In the year following the birth of her brother, Wallace, Fiona and her family left Scotland for her mother’s home town of Siren Cove, Maine, to be closer to her side of the family.
Fiona grew up in Siren Cove from the age of six to fourteen; her mother, originally hailing from the town, homeschooled Fiona and Wallace in an attempt to keep them sheltered from the effects of the rivalry in town. She couldn’t outright keep the truth from them, but she only told them as little as she could get away with in regards to Siren Cove’s history. Fiona, naturally curious, discovered more during trips to the library. She discovered her penchant for illusionary magic when she began disguising books about Siren Cove’s bloody past to look like the innocent children’s books her mother assumed she was reading.
Fiona grew up with magic; both of her parents nourished it within her and her brother both from the time they could walk. Fiona gravitated towards illusionary magic while Wallace tended towards water magic. Though their parents never admonished them for their abilities, it became clear to Fiona that both herself and her brother were not living up to their family’s expectations. This only served as a catalyst for her desires to hone her own magical passions; and though she loved her family dearly, said passions lead to a fair amount of arguments and fights, causing Fiona to get into a fair amount of trouble. She began sneaking out at night with her friends, both to practice magic and to partake in serious stunts, such as leaping off a ferris wheel. Her parents, of course, were not amused.
Eventually, Fiona moved away from Siren Cove when her parents and her aunt, the last of her mother’s remaining family within Siren Cove, grew concerned regarding the tension within the town and Fiona’s reckless behavior. They settled further away in Bar Harbor, in the hopes that Fiona would grow more responsible in a less hostile environment. As sad as Fiona was to leave Siren Cove, and the gaggle of friends she’d managed to make while there, even while homeschooled, she absolutely adored Bar Harbor. She settled down as she grew older, though she still had plenty of arguments with her family. She continued excelling in illusionary magic, while failing at her parents’ attempts to teaching her their fire magic.
Now, having graduated college with a degree in graphic design and a minor in costuming, Fiona returns to Siren Cove having spent the past three years meandering through Scotland and Boston in an attempt to find herself. After an enormous fight, her parents are barely speaking to one another, and her brother, Wallace, is studying abroad in Scotland. She comes to Siren Cove compelled by both her curiosity and her tendency towards dancing with danger, as well as, ironically, to escape the tensions within her own family.
